1. Your agreement with us

These terms govern advocacylift.com, organizer accounts, hosted campaign pages, and embeds for Civic Connect District, Focus, and Rally. The service is operated by Humble Consultancy ("AdvocacyLift," "we," or "us"). By creating or using an organizer account, purchasing a plan, or publishing a campaign, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

You must be at least 18 and authorized to enter an agreement for any organization you represent to create an organizer account or purchase a subscription. Keep your sign-in email secure, provide accurate account and website information, and tell us promptly about unauthorized access.

2. Our three products

Current annual plans, in US dollars
Product Price Purpose
Civic Connect District $39/year A branded representative lookup and phone-script widget using the organizer's own 5 Calls API key.
Civic Connect Focus $59/year A branded campaign widget connecting topics or indexed bills with relevant officials and available contact options.
Civic Connect Rally $59/year Unlimited petitions on one subscribed website, confirmed signature collection, hosted sharing pages, and organizer CSV exports.

Each product has a separate subscription. District and Focus subscriptions cover the subscribed widget on one registered website. Rally covers unlimited petitions for one registered website. Previewing a draft does not grant a paid license or make it publicly available. Checkout shows the price and any applicable tax before purchase.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Plans renew annually until canceled. By completing a subscription purchase, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the first annual term and subsequent annual renewals at the disclosed price, plus any applicable tax.

Stripe processes payments and provides billing management. Paid access begins after successful payment is verified. Returning to our site from checkout, saving a draft, or receiving an installation placeholder does not by itself activate a subscription.

If renewal is unsuccessful, it does not extend the paid term. District and Focus widgets become unavailable when paid coverage ends. Rally stops accepting new signatures and confirmations when paid coverage ends; organizers can still access existing confirmed-signature exports unless an account is suspended for a separate reason. Payment providers may retry an unsuccessful charge. Resolve billing issues through your account or contact us.

Any subscription price change applies to a future renewal with advance notice and an opportunity to cancel, subject to applicable law. We do not increase the price of an already-paid annual term.

4. Cancellation and refunds

You can manage or cancel renewal through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account, widget builder, or Rally dashboard. Cancel before the next renewal to prevent the next annual charge. If you cannot access billing, email remco@humbleconsultancy.com for assistance.

Canceling renewal normally leaves access available through the end of the paid term. It does not automatically refund charges already made or prorate unused time. Contact us about duplicate or mistaken charges, technical failures, or a refund request so we can review the circumstances. Any refund, withdrawal, or cancellation rights required by applicable law remain available.

Closing a petition, removing an embed, clearing a browser draft, or stopping use of the service does not cancel its subscription. Cancel the renewal in billing.

5. Website license and installation

A paid plan grants a limited, nonexclusive right to use the subscribed hosted tool for your organization on its registered website during paid coverage. Use the installation code provided after activation. Standard www and non-www aliases may be treated as the same website; separate domains and other unregistered sites are not automatically covered.

The website must support the necessary HTML or embed code. You are responsible for its configuration and for permissions to install the widget. Active subscriptions are bound to their registered website; contact support if you need to move one. You may not resell account access, bypass payment or domain restrictions, or expose API credentials in public code.

6. Organizer responsibilities

You choose your campaign, message, branding, phone script, petition addressees, and published content. Review the preview, selected officials, available contact channels, and data coverage before publishing. You are responsible for accuracy, rights to your content, lawful advocacy, and compliance with rules that apply to your organization and communications.

For Rally, provide an accurate organizer identity and an accessible privacy-policy URL. Explain what you collect, how you will use it, whom you intend to deliver it to, how supporters can reach you, and any public disclosure that delivery may cause. Establish the necessary permissions and legal basis for signature collection, including any required explicit consent for sensitive information. Do not intentionally collect signatures from children under 13.

Protect exports and use them only for the disclosed petition purpose and any separately permitted follow-up. An unchecked campaign-updates box is not permission to add someone to a marketing list. Honor applicable privacy requests and opt-outs, including for your downloaded or delivered copies.

Rally provides collection and export tools. You arrange delivery of the petition to decision-makers. AdvocacyLift does not automatically email each signature to an official, send campaign newsletters, or guarantee that a recipient will accept, read, or act on a petition.

7. Supporter participation

Use your own name and email address to sign a petition. Review the campaign and its organizer's privacy notice first. Your signature is counted after email confirmation; it is not proof of legal identity, voter registration, residency, or eligibility for a statutory ballot petition. Rally permits one confirmed signature per email address per petition. It is not an electronic voting or election-certification system.

A confirmation request allows us to send the transactional confirmation email. The separate, optional campaign-updates choice applies to follow-up by that organizer. Ask the organizer to withdraw your signature, correct information, or stop campaign updates; our privacy-request contact can help with records held by AdvocacyLift.

Calls, email links, and official-site links connect you with external services. Your phone or internet provider may charge its usual fees. We do not place or record calls for you, and a suggested phone script does not guarantee a response.

8. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, or infringement of another person's rights. Do not submit signatures for others without authority, generate fake signatures, scrape private supporter data, distribute malware, evade rate limits, or attempt unauthorized access.

"Unlimited petitions" means no fixed limit on the number of petitions under an active Rally website plan. It does not authorize automated abuse, resale as an unrelated bulk service, or traffic that materially disrupts others. We may apply reasonable technical rate limits to protect availability and signature integrity.

9. Content and ownership

You retain ownership of the campaign content you provide. You grant us permission to store, process, display, and transmit it as needed to run your chosen tools, including displaying your published campaign and creating exports. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for that content and any external images you use.

AdvocacyLift's software, branding, and service design remain ours or our licensors'. A subscription gives access to the service, not ownership of its software. Public source data and third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and terms.

10. External services and data limitations

District relies on 5 Calls and your valid API credential. You must comply with its applicable API terms and limits. ZIP-based results may include more than one district or require additional checking. Focus combines public sources including RepRecord, Congress.gov, and OpenStates. Federal, state, and local coverage varies; topic or bill connections are not a complete nationwide index and do not establish that an official represents a particular visitor or supports your position.

Officials, committee assignments, bills, contact information, and source availability can change. Verify important details on official sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, current availability, or suitability of external data, or that every official has a usable phone number or email address.

AdvocacyLift is an independent service and is not a government agency or endorsed by the officials or data providers shown. Third-party checkout, websites, images, email services, and communication channels have their own terms and privacy practices.

11. Changes, availability, and suspension

We maintain and update centrally hosted tools. Maintenance, outages, provider changes, security incidents, or legal requirements can interrupt access. We may adjust features and technical limits, and will give reasonable notice of a material reduction to a paid service when practicable.

We may pause a campaign or account for a material breach, abuse, a security risk, nonpayment, or legal necessity. We will explain the reason and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve it when appropriate. Immediate action may be necessary to protect people or the service. You can contact support to request a review.

Keep copies of important campaign content and exports. Closing an account does not itself reverse disclosures already made or delete an organizer's independent copies. Retention and deletion requests are described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service and external data are provided "as is" and "as available," without a promise of uninterrupted operation, a particular advocacy result, or suitability for a specific legal purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither party is responsible to the other for indirect or consequential losses arising from the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us for the affected service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable liability for fraud or willful misconduct, and do not remove mandatory consumer rights, statutory remedies, or other protections provided by law.

13. Questions and disputes

Contact Humble Consultancy at remco@humbleconsultancy.com with the relevant account email and campaign or subscription details. We will try to resolve the issue in good faith. Applicable legal rights, complaint channels, and access to a court with proper jurisdiction remain available.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. These terms and the checkout details describe the service agreement; mandatory legal protections take priority if they conflict.

14. Terms updates

We may update these terms and will revise the effective date. For material changes affecting paid accounts, we will provide advance notice by email or a prominent site notice when practicable and explain when the change applies. We will request any acceptance required by law. You can contact support or cancel future renewal if you do not wish to continue under revised terms.
